Established in 1997 under Singaporean Law, and 99% owned by MIRA and 1% by PKR, Sabre Systems International (SSI) is the owner of the FPSO Sea Good 101 that is currently deployed just off the Northern coast of Madura in the Java Sea. |
The company was acquired fully (100%) by PKR in 2001,at the time when the Sea Good 101 was also acquired initially as a flat-top barge. Sea Good 101 was converted into an oil-tank barge when PKR won a contract from the Chinese state-owned oil company, CNOOC, in 2002. Starting in 2005, PKR began negotiations for the Santos project, requiring the modification of Sea Good 101 into a production barge.
In 2006 further modifications were carried out by fitting special equipment required by Santos, and in 2007, a contract for six years was awarded with an off-take guarantee covering the first two years of contract.
